Community Guidelines

Panchayat is a space for your village and community. These guidelines help keep discussions safe, respectful, and helpful for everyone.

1. Our Shared Values

Panchayat was built for the people of India's villages, towns, and local communities. We believe every voice matters — from the smallest gaon to the biggest shehar. Our community thrives when neighbors treat one another with dignity.

2. What We Encourage

  • Local News & Real Updates: Share events, road repairs, weather warnings, and local sports tournaments.
  • Helpful Civic Info: Free health checkup camps, government subsidy guidance, and job opportunities for youth.
  • Respectful Sabha Discussions: Express opinions on village decisions with constructive, polite language.
  • Celebrating Local Talent: Highlight local farmers, students, weavers, and community volunteers.
  • Authentic Identity: Use your real name. Real identities foster long-term neighborhood trust.

3. What Is Strictly Prohibited

  • Communal Hatred & Discrimination: Content insulting religious beliefs, caste, gender, or regional origin is strictly forbidden.
  • Harassment & Bullying: Targeted personal abuse, stalking, or naming individuals in bad faith.
  • Disinformation & Rumors: Fabricated emergency notices or false claims that create panic or unrest.
  • Explicit or Violent Media: Graphic violence, nudity, or sexually explicit content.
  • Doxxing: Sharing another person's personal mobile number, house address, or bank details without permission.

4. How We Enforce These Rules

Every post and comment on Panchayat features a “Report” button. When a post receives reports or violates guidelines, it is reviewed by moderators. Violating content is removed immediately, and repeated offenders have their accounts permanently blocked.

If you ever feel unsafe or encounter someone violating these rules, you can also use the Block feature to instantly hide all their content and prevent them from contacting you.
